Road Construction
Beginning the week of September 8, 2020, the City of Sheridan will be conducting road work. “NO PARKING” signs, will be placed prior to September 8th, however, will not be enforced until September 8th. Please make sure all vehicles are off the roadway by 7:00 AM. Any vehicles left on the roadway during the project will be ticketed and towed to a safe location outside the work zone by Connelly’s Towing.
The City of Sheridan has contracted with Martin Marietta to mill and re-pave Bear Creek from Kenyon to the west side of Hooker St, Jefferson Avenue from Federal to Dead End, Floyd from Zuni to Bryant, and Zuni from Dartmouth to Floyd southbound only.
The contractors tentative schedule: (this schedule is tentative and may change)
- Tuesday, September 8, Mill Jefferson and Bear Creek.
- Wednesday, Sept 9, Mill Zuni and Floyd and pave Jefferson and Bear Creek
- Thursday, Sept 10, Pave Zuni and Floyd
Zuni and Jefferson will be open to traffic during paving operations and Colorado Barricade will be conducting traffic control to assist with getting you and your customers in and out during the project.
Bear Creek and Floyd will be closed during the mill and paving operation to all traffic. If you have a special needs requirement on either of the two streets, please call 303-437-0073 and assistance will be made available to get you in and out.
As a reminder while the contractor is working in your neighborhood please use extreme caution and watch for the workers. Please remember that the asphalt is approximately 300 degrees when it is put down and may take several hours to cool. Please keep your children and pets away from the hot surface until it cools. Please do not move barricades or drive on the new asphalt until the road is opened by the contractor.
