Duties
The city clerk serves as clerk for the City Council. Additional duties include:
- Administering all licensing functions, which includes licenses for:
- Coordinating and conducting all municipal elections, which includes:
- Ensuring elections follow the Fair Campaign Practices Act
- Issuing candidate / issue committee packets
- Maintaining custody of all official records of the City including:
- Maintaining / updating the City of Sheridan Municipal Code
- Preparing City Council agendas and packets
- Receiving and processing formal petitions for:
- Candidacy for office
- Initiatives
- Recalls
- Referenda
