Participants in the Volunteers in Policing program
The Sheridan Police Department has formed the Volunteers in Policing Unit to allow citizens to participate in certain police activities and assist the officers with many of their routine duties. This allows the officers to spend more time doing the main part of their jobs - making the City of Sheridan a safer place.

Becoming a volunteer can be a very interesting and rewarding way to give back to your community and, at the same time, learn many of the internal functions of your Police Department.
