Beginning today, Colorado's statewide Public Health Order removes many of the COVID-19 protections. To keep residents safe and healthy while more people have the opportunity to get vaccinated, Tri-County Health Department put a new Order in place with some protections.
Under this new order, Adams and Arapahoe counties are in Level Blue, which allows for larger capacity in public spaces, including gyms and event venues. For individuals, the orders mean:
- Masks are still required in all indoor public spaces in Adams, Arapahoe and Douglas counties. The statewide Order allows counties with one-week disease incidence rates of 35 or fewer cases per 100,000 to opt-out of most masking requirements.
- Small groups of non-vaccinated people must continue to wear masks when in public spaces in Adams and Arapahoe counties. The statewide Order allows groups smaller than 10, regardless of vaccination status, to gather without a mask in public settings.
- Wherever you may be in the state, different Public Health Orders may apply, so the strictest requirement must be followed.
- Douglas county opted out of our Public Health Order but is still under the state order.
