Sheridan Celebrates has two new, family-friendly events for 2020 that will both entertain you and keep you safe. Mark your calendar for a Drive-In Concert on Saturday evening, September 26 and a Drive-Through Parade on Sunday afternoon, September 27.

Sheridan Celebrates is Driving Forward

You may have been wondering, “What’s going to happen for Sheridan Celebrates this year.” Well, the Sheridan Celebrates Committee has worked hard to come up with just the right answer to that question that will both entertain you and keep you safe during this unprecedented time of global pandemic. Mayor and Sheridan Celebrates Committee Chairperson, Tara Beiter-Fluhr stated, “The Committee has come up with fun and innovative ideas to keep up our community spirit while we maintain physical distance.”

Two unique and separate events will occur the last weekend in September as Sheridan Celebrates Under the Sea, a Drive-In Concert and a Drive-Through Parade. On Saturday evening, September 26, you can load the family, and your friends, in your car and drive into the Sheridan High School parking lot, at 3201 West Oxford Avenue. Park and listen to live music while social distancing in your own car. This exclusive concert engagement will feature Soul Sacrifice A Tribute to Santana. Soul Sacrifice faithfully recreates the music of the legendary band, Santana, featuring burning renditions of Latin-infused rock classics such as Oye Coma Va and Black Magic Woman plus breathtaking guitar ballads including Europa. Soul Sacrifice captures and delivers up a signature multi-cultural sound and spirit. There will be a minimal charge of $10 per car for the Drive-In Concert. A limited number of tickets will go on sale Friday, August 7 at https://SheridanCelebrates.TicketSpice.com/drive-in-concert Tickets are required and only available online in advance. Tickets will not be available at the event. Audio will be transmitted through your vehicles’ FM stereo, so please be sure that your radio and speakers are operable. Attendees are asked to remain in their vehicle during the concert performance. Only attendees with tickets and vehicles will be allowed to attend this event.

On Sunday afternoon, September 27, get back in the car and travel to Fort Logan Northgate School, 4000 S. Lowell Blvd., for the Drive-Through Parade. Some of your favorite Sheridan Celebrates parade entries will be set up on site in the parking lot at Fort Logan Northgate School. You, the parade attendee, will drive through the area delighting in the entertaining display tents and attractive stationary vehicles. All attendees must remain in their vehicles as they tour the vicinity. This event is free and every car will be given a goody bag when exiting the parking lot.

The specific times for these events are yet to be determined. The Drive-In Concert will take place in the evening on Saturday, September 26, after the dinner hour. The Drive-Through Parade will be hosted on Sunday afternoon, September 27 for a 2-hour period that does not conflict with the Denver Bronco schedule.
